      I’m a big time Mac user – in fact I pretty much despise Windows.

          Thanks for this, Carter.  I now have Cloverleaf running natively on my Mac too.  No more Windows VM needed!  Simply awesome.  (For others that might be interested, I have the same CIS (Linux) and Mac versions. Followed his script as-is without any problem).

            Glad it was helpful to somebody.  Given your success I assume you adhered closely to step #19 as it is simply impossible to get the client to run properly without it.

              Finally got my hands on version 5.8 so and I was able to create a 5.8 client for the Macintosh pretty quickly.  I have created a separate set of instructions here:
