I have tcl code that I want to use to name an outputed file.  Can this code be placed in a translation?

No this needs to be placed in the OB TPS UPoC.

I have the tcl placed in the TPS Outbound Data field of the Outbound tab in netconfig.  I resend the msg and it get’s stuck and never creates the file.  Do you have have any examples of the tcl used to write the msg to a file?

Actually, if you are on a later release of Cloverleaf (perhaps 6.2 and later) there is a Filename Template option in the Fileset Protocol that should do what you want without any Tcl needed.

I had forgotten about that. But if you still want/need a Tcl proc, email me.

the template won’t work since it’s gotta based on another vendor spec.  I have the proc, just can’t get it output the file.

What are you using to actually write the file? The Fileset Protocol or Tcl? And what is unique about the vendor spec that the template won’t work? I am just curious.
