How do I turn of length encoding? Real newbie

Hello everyone,

Still learning something everyday about cloverleaf. I just set up a raw ADT feed to a vendor and their system had trouble accepting the messages, so they requested to have “Length encoding” turned off. What does that mean and where can I do that?

Any answer will be greatly appreciated.

Bashirat,

You probably want some sort of encapsulation.

So what does the vendor propose instead of length encoding?

If these are HL/7 messages then the mlp pdl could be used.

But some sort of encapsulation will be needed.

As long as you are at it, make sure the vendor will be sending you an acknowledgment (‘application’ not TCP/IP) for each message and set up your outbound thread Outbound tab appropriately to wait for and handle the reply – acknowledgment).
