I have a vendor who is sending me an HL7 file with an imbedded html file.  I am wondering if anyone has any experience converting this to an outbound HL7 file.

Here is a partial layout of the MDM^T02:

          Gina,

Fom just a cursory review it appears as though the sending system is taking care of anything which might be an issue to Cloverleaf.

In other words, a simple COPY of OBX-5 should result in the outbound message looking like the inbound mesage because among other things they have deployed the HL/7 standard for escaping separators, etc.

However, the question becomes can the receiving systems handle this escaping? If not then the data on the receiving system may not look lthe same as it does on the sending system.

Moreover and additionally, can the receiving systems deal with HTML structured data?
