I am trying to get a copy of the hl7 specs for message type RGV, segment RXE fields 46 – 61. The hl7 manual only has through field 45 and Mckesson uses 60 and 61.  Anyone know what fields 46 – 61 contain???

          John,

          What version of HL/7?

              John,

It sounds like McKesson has some user defined fields as I do not find the fields you mention in my 2.3 HL/7 documentation.

I would think McKesson should be able to tell you what is in those fields (if Mckesson is sending the message) or what they want in those fields (if McKesson is receiving the message).

In any case, if you are going to be using an HL/7 variant, you will need to configure those fields in the segment yourself.

I know what the two fields Mckesson is sending are. However, I did not want to create filler fields in fields 46 – 59, if they are infact valid fields. Mckesson could not give a reason for skipping these fields and using 60 & 61. Thanks for the information Jim.

If this is for AdminRX message between Care Manager and HMM, please be warned that the HL7 messages are NOT HL7 or HBOCHI standard messages.  To get around this, I had to create route as _HCI_static_route_ with no translations, etc.; because there was no consistency to the messages.

Yes, it is for the AdminxRX between Care Manager and HMM. Thanks for your input.

We’re not using the same McKesson product that you are, but ours has good HL7 documentation online. However it’s only available on the test side, not on production.

                        John,

I am also using HMM to CareManager. Use Raw routing. You would not need any translations.

                        No issues so far 🙂

                        Thanks

                          John,

One more thing I forgot to mention here.

                          1. Both HMM and HC variants must be set to HL 2.4. Hence you will see all the fields populated.

                          2. I am not sure if you have A60 bi-directional interfaces implemented. If so then things will be much easier. If they did not, then you would need to mention that both HMM and CareManager need to use version HL2.4.

                          thanks

                          Reggie
