I don’t see any problem getting rid of them. I just looked at mine, and I believe they are temporary files created by cloverleaf when you replay a message from the smat tool. I think it saves the messages from a file then replay’s them from the file. Take a look at the contents of one of the messages in a test system just to confirm that it is the same in your system. I am running V5.3 on AIX 5.1.
