      Hi,

Can the hcimsiutil -Z utility be used on a running site? We need to reset the counters on a weekly basis for a client to monitor thier own interfaces. I can put the command into a batch file and run it as a scheduled job but I don’t want to do this if the command disconnects the interfaces while it is initialising the threads.

      Thoughts please?

      Regards

      Garry

          Hi Garry,

Yes, you can do this in a running site. We also have a cron-job that resets the counters weekly, and never had a problem with our interfaces.

We are on HP-UX though (CL 5.2), not sure if this is true for Windows also.

          Cheers,

           Robert

One thing that you will encounter.

The threads will show a status of “initializing” until a next event happens to the process. Don’t get alarmed if it stays that way for a long time. It just means nothing has happened. Perhaps the developers could change the word to “initialized”.
