For those customers having the HACMP functionality from Infor, has anyone noticed that /home/hci/.cluster files have more restrictive permissions with v6.1 ?

I don’t know if it is 6.1; we moved from older servers running 6.0 to new servers running 6.1, and the files in that directory have ROOT:SYSTEM instead of HCI/STAFF, and we cannot read these files anymore.

I don’t know if we did this during the install by running the wrong user id or if it was changed later.

We don’t usually touch these files because HACMP is so sensitive, but the hci.node1.enginerun script contains an ‘ignore list’ of sites and processes that should not be auto-started, and occasionally we have to update this list.

          Hi Peter,

We are running RHEL since 2 years and our clusterscripts are located at /cloverleaf/cis6.0/integrator/clusterscripts. All have hci:staff as owner.

Not sure if we are using the official Infor HACMP clusterscripts though. In our case we start all our processes automatically in case of a failover. Normally we don’t touch these files either.

I have a feeling that these scripts/configuration depend a lot on who did your install and is maintaining your system.

            Thank you Robert

We did the 6.1 install but Infor assisted with the HACMP implementation when we configured and tested failover procedures on the new servers. Maybe it was part of the standard configuration.
