GUI freezes – Does this happen to anyone else?

We are running Cloverleaf 5.3 on an HP Unix server and have Windows XP client workstations. Occasionally while we are working our GUI windows “blank” out and if we telnet to the server and run a TOP we see that the java process owned by hci has over 100% CPU Utilization.  This will go on for a few minutes then drop back at which time our GUI’s start working again.

Also on the telnet session if you do an hciprocstatus all the processes are running and messages continue to cross.

Has anyone else had this problem or seen this?

Hi Sallie,

I don’t know if this is the same as your problem, but if I’m working for a long time in the GUI, like creating a new translate, it will hang like that and the only recourse I’ve found is to kill the GUI (using the X close box on the window) and start it again.
