Group Name and Alerts and changes

I’m new to Global Monitor (6.1)  and have 3 questions.

Am I able to OR how am I able to build views with GROUP NAMES from a thread?

Am I able to access the alert files from Global Monitor?

Also

If I make a change to a site / process/thread in the GUI – how soon should I see that change in Global Monitor?
