GM Hardware/OS requirements for 6.0?

Can someone please share the hardware and OS requirements (32/64) for GM for 6.0?

There is no information in the Installation Guide.

Based on the installation guide in 6.1.

The following are what were stated:

We run the Cloverleaf Integrator on an AIX UNIX server 6.1 TL9 (virtualized) and our clients on Windows 7 Enterprise SP1 laptops/desktops (X64).

Our Global Monitor (GM)  runs on Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1 (virtualized). And with no other applications in its “slice”.   We did install the GM on a virtualized volume (E: for us) other than the so-called “C:” drive to make it more portable for maintenance.  And configured as a service.

This strategy has served us well so far.

Any ideas whether the GM and CIS clients can be installed on the same machine?

Is there any requirements to install additional components in CIS server prior to installation of GM?

Although GM and CIS servers can different, but both of them have to be on the same network?

Is it for locating of monitor daemons and host servers?

If I have various CIS servers, can the GM monitor all the CIS servers?

Here are my replies to your questions – as always, you can contact INFOR support via their website and post questions regarding Global Monitor.

(1) We installed the GM on its own virtualized Windows server.  No other applications are installed or running on this server.  Clients run on Windows 7 Enterprise laptops/workstations.

(2) Check the Release Notes for requirements – for us we installed the GM on Windows Server 2008 R2 (64- bit) SP1 as indicated in the Release Notes.

(3) For us the GM and clients are in our LAN or local network.

The GM can be accessed outside the network but that is an HTTPS type connection and depends on your shop’s security policies of allowing sensitive traffic over HTTPS only.  We do not allow that traffic here.

(4) Our host servers are within our LAN (local network) – for outside hosts you may need to add firewall settings – see the Release Notes or contact INFOR support for more information.

(5) Yes – the GM can monitor different CIS hosts.  In fact you can create views that include sites within mulitple hosts.
