Global Monitor host list when changing server IP’s

Hello Folks,

We are running GM 6.0.4 and currently connected to CIS 5.8.5 on AIX box.

We migrated over the test boxes to 6.1.1 with mew hostname and IP. (NOTE: GM server was NOT touched)

Post CIS upgrade, we can no longer connect to the hostname obviosly due to name change, by default there is no way to rename the hostname and will need to add the new host and start from scratch.

In talking with support, we were provide a set of steps that would include modifying the hostmigrate.txt under $GMInstallPath$bin and then

run hostmigrate.bat file. (change directory to $GMInstallPath$bin and execute there)

Have any of you guys ran through the scenario where you were updating ti a new CIS version? how did you rebuild the views? have you ever tried the script?

You assistance is greatly appreciated.
