I am trying to test a fileset local thread connection.   The thread is processing the file at times other than those specified in the advanced scheduling parameters.

      For example:

      Advanced scheduling is set for seconds=0, minutes=30, hours=11, days=17 (i.e. today at 11:30 am)

If it is currently 12:15 pm and I place the file in the pickup directory, everything is fine and the file is not read in.  However, if the process is bounced, the file IS read in.

Why is the file processing when the time does not meet the advanced scheduling parameters?  After it is bounced, shouldn’t it wait until the next time the advanced scheduling parameters are met?  (i.e. a month from now?)

      Thanks,

      Kenadi Moore

I have ran into the same issue.  This is just the expected behavior is what I have learned from others.  The inbound threads ALWAYS do a read when they are first started, no matter what is setup in the advanced scheduling.

            Kenadi,

Do you have anything in your Directory Parse or Deletion TPS?  You could probably do something in the Directory Parse during the start Mode to ignore the file list, and in the Deletion during start Mode not to delete the file.

This may prevent file processing during thread startup, but keep the file intact for the next scheduled running.

            Hope this helps,

Interesting Robert.  I’ll have to keep that in mind!

I’d be interested to know if that works!

You might want to take a look at this posting for a solution.
