Fileset-Local Text file busy error

      Hello,

      I have an IB thread that is set to filset-Local.  The thread gives an error in the logs indicating:

      [fset:read:ERR /0:  gb05geac_in] Cannot open Multi-message file fileset-gb05geac_in Text file busy

      This thread is configured exactly as several other threads in the site, yet this is the only thread generating this error.  Bouncing the process clears the error, and allows the IB file to be processed and routed to the OB thread. The thread will then stay up without error.  It appears to go to error status when another file is placed in the IB directory.  

      Has anyone seen this error?

          Chris,

          Are any of your other IB Fileset threads also looking into the same directory for work? You might consider placing a filter in the Directory Parse then.

            This is an oldie, but uh, well..it’s an oldie where I come from…

            Anyways.  Has anyone else seen this issue and found a resolution?  It has started happening recently to my inbound thread.  The inbound thread is fileset-local.  Reads from an inbound directory and outputs a new file to an Outbound directory.  The tclproc reads one line at a time from the file and writes one line at a time to the outbound file.  The outbound thread is also fileset-local.  The setup isn’t anything out of the ordinary, so I’m confused.

            Also, this is the only thread (or anything) looking at this directory.

              What O/S and what version of Cloverleaf(R)?

                We are on AIX 5.3 and Clover 5.5Rev1.

                Also, this does not happen daily.  Only twice in the last 2 weeks.  I’m wondering if it has something to do with the file ftp’ing to the inbound folder?  Maybe if it is still ftp’ing, the inbound thread tries to read it and it thus gets the busy error.
