FILESET-FTP OUTBOUND CONFIG

Still working on my first fileset-FTP connection so I’m mostly plodding along in the dark. The vendor wants files with single messages dropped off on their server so they can pick them up every 15 minutes. They also want to drop off individual ACK files every 15 minutes for us to pick up.

Is this the way it normally works? That could mean that an ACK would be received possibly 30 minutes after sending a message. Wouldn’t sending them full ADT and SIU feeds create a recovery db nightmare, or would this even work?

Sure wish there were some “how and why” documentation for this.

Chris,

If you are writing out individual files, are you naming them with sequential number so they know what order to process the files (i.e. ADT.0000001.data, ADT.0000002.data, SIU.0000001.data, SIU.0000002.data, etc.)?
