Extra Repeating Segment

Hello,

I am having an odd issue with trying to clear an iteration in a VXU message. There is one “immunization” that I want to clear when I come across it but when I clear the iteration I end up with an extra RXA at the end of the message. It appears to only happen when the one I want to clear shows up in the last iteration. If it comes earlier in the iterations it doesn’t add an RXA to the end.

I’m clearing it by path-copying null into every segment in that group I want to clear. RXA isn’t even the first segment of the group I’m clearing but it’s the only one to show up at the end. Attached is an image of what the extra segment looks like.

Does anyone have any ideas on how to prevent this? Am I missing something obvious?

I would speculate that it is a required segment on your outbound variant.  You can make it optional and that would probably address this.

That was it. Thanks a lot. It was throwing me for a loop as I was thinking based on how it reacted with other test scenarios that it wasn’t that so I didn’t even think to check it. Either way, that’s what I was looking for, thanks for the quick reply and another set of eyes.
