ERROR: premature end-of-file from server:

I have an alert that is supposed to send an email when conditions are made.  I’m not getting the email.  I see the alert firing in the log, and in the hcimonitord_alert2email.log file I see the following error:

ERROR: premature end-of-file from server:

Does anyone have an idea of what this means and/or how to correct it?

Do you receive an email when you test the email system with Site Options/Alert Configuration/Test?

Do you receive emails from other alerts?

Would you provide some screenshots of this particular alert?

I hadn’t tried the test before, but when I did, I got “Failed to send message” (see attachment)

I’ve also attached the alert setup.

I do get other emails from the server, but not from within the Cloverleaf application.

What is the OS used by Cloverleaf and what version and patchlevel of Cloverleaf?

The server is AIX – version 6.1

The client is on a Windows 7 Enterprise machine

version 6.0.2.0P

Is your AIX configured to use ‘sendmail’?  I believe that is what is used within the Alert configuration….
