I’m wondering if anyone can confirm the behavior that I’m seeing with the use of Java upocs.

When I use a Java upoc for either pre/post proc I can ERROR the message.  However, when I’m using a Java upoc as the Thread Protocol the ERROR of the message results in it being sent to the RECOVERY database rather than the ERROR database.

Is that the correct behavior?  I can convince myself that this might be true, but I want to make sure that I’m not doing something wrong and that this shouldn’t be the behavior.

I don’t think so. According to the documentation, ERROR disposition on a pdupoc_read or pdupoc_write should send the message to the error database.

By changing the ‘Retries’ value from -1 (unlimited), I’m now able to ERROR the message from the UPOC protocol.
