Encryption and decryption of log files

Hello All,

We are currently using 6.1 version, is there any way we can Encrypt data writing it to a log or a file, and if necessary I need to Decrypt a particular message.

I heard that there is an option to Encrypt the data writing it to a log files in 6.1 version , but I am not sure how to use it.
