E-Mail limits on Alerts

I have several alerts setup on our engine (Ver 5.7 on a Windows Server 2008 box). Everything has worked fine until I added a 4th address to the notification list. Then nothing went out. I used the following format:

“address 1@rwmc.net,address 2@rwmc.net,address 3@rwmc.net,address 4@rwmc.net“

When I reduced the list to 3 addresses it worked. Has anyone else had this kind of issue? I tried to use a group address from our exchange server but that did not work at all.

I found a similar issue if I use an alias for a group.  Once I added the group alias, I needed to separate with a space instead of a comma.  This is on Linux.
