Duplicate Messaging

I have an inbound connection that points to an outbound connection used as a router.

The outbound router connection then sends the message to an awaiting inbound connection on another site.

We have to do this when a receiving connection located on another site is a multi-purpose connection receiving adts, orders, etc.

The problem I am having is that the router connection is processing the incoming message multiple times. I have to stop the connection to clear the duplicate messages.

The recovery database reflects State 16- OB wait for IB reply.

Any insights will be greatly appreciated.

Robert,

It sounds like your outbound router connection is configured to ‘Await Replies’ and your inbound connection in the other site is not ACK’ing back (sending the reply) within the timeout period you have configured on your outbound router connection, so it resends the message.
