Has anyone done any data masking for when people look at the SMATDB files via Global Monitor or other tools?
We are being asked if there is a way to mask PHI/PII/PCI data when people look at the interface information. While I know that the data is being stored correctly in the SMATDB, I need to be able to mask the data when people look at it so that it meets the laws that are currently being written/implemented by Governments.
I know that I can stop people from looking at data via Advanced Security, I would really like to be able to not have to go down that route if I don’t have to. I would need to be able to pick which fields to put ####### or ****** instead of showing the PHI/PII/PCI fields.
Thoughts?
Thanks in advance.
