      Hello All,

In a version 2.3 ORU message, I am having a problem creating/adding multiple NTE segments after the OBR segment while translating the existing NTE segments that also follow the OBR. With a counter, I am maintaining the existing NTE segments, but cannot add more that one of my created NTE’s before them. The new NTE-3 data is coming from copied OBR fields or simply fixed text. I am iterating while creating the new NTE’s, but am obviously missing something as only the last of the new created NTE’s is in my output from the Xlate. Any help is appreciated and I attached a screenshot of my Xlate.

      Thank you.

Probably multiple things going on here.

But let’s start with your requirement.

Based on thee Xlate it apppears you only want to add one additional NTE at the OBR level as the first NTE – but – you are iterating over the inbound NTE so you are creating the first NTE multiple times.

Next I think you have address path issues with the added NTE and the normal NTEs.

I would need to know more to help more I think.

Of course Jim was a huge help, and identified the problems quickly. At a high level, the two main issues were:

1.) NTE creation statements were in the wrong place under the second group iteration. They were moved up to the OBR group iter.

2.) Each NTE repetition needed to be created fully (all three fields) by “brute force”

Along with other tweaks, the resulting Xlate is posted.

            Thanks again Jim.
