Is there a way to copy a thread from one site to another? I right clicked on copy thread but when I switch sites it does not allow me to paste it.

          Hi Dennis,

Unfortunately you can’t copy between sites although I think this maybe something you can do in 5.6 or 5.7.

Why do you want to copy a single thread?

          Regards

          Garry

As Garry said, not available.  I usually have two instances of the client running and then keep alt-tab comparing the thread properties as I fill out the new thread.  It is easy to miss something and it makes a lot of extra work.

I guess a person could copy the thread section in the first site’s NetConfig file for that thread and paste it in the NetConfig in the other site.

            Nate.

You can’t copy directly from one NetConfig to another (between sites), but you can copy within the NetConfig IDE using two NetConfig files.  The workaround is to copy the source NetConfig (from the other site) into your desired site as ‘myNetConfig’ (or any name other than ‘NetConfig’).  Then fire up the NetConfig tool, do a ‘File’, Open and load your ‘myNetConfig’; select the thread you want to copy and do ‘Copy’.  Then do ‘File’ Open and load the actual NetConfig and do a ‘Paste’.  As long as you don’t exit the NetConfig IDE between your Copy & Paste you should be able to Copy & paste between these NetConfigs.

But this may be more work then actually just re-creating the thread, depending on your level of comfort.

              Hope this helps.
