Connection Error

We have just recently switched from UNIX to NT (not sure why) and now when I try to connect to the NT box remotely, I get the following message:

An unexpected exception occurred during the login process.

The exception shown below was caught.

Unable to establish a connection to the host server: 10.61.27.75; nested exception is:

com.hie.cloverleaf.securityserver.NoCloverleafSrvException: Unable to contact Server on server: 10.61.27.75; nested exception is:

java.rmi.ConnectIOException: Cannot connect to host: //10.61.27.75:13010/; nested exception is:

java.rmi.ConnectException: Connection refused to host: 10.61.27.75; nested exception is:

java.net.ConnectException: Connection refused: connect

If I reboot the server, problem solved.  I can’t reboot everytime this occurs.  Does anyone know the cause of this?  Is there a service that has failed?

Jonathan,

It looks like the ‘hostserver’ process/service is not started on the server machine.  You’ll need to run the command (i.e. hciss -s h ) on the server to start the hostserver process.
