      Hello All,

I see from searching previous posts, that almost this exact issue was posed a few years ago, but was hoping to get fresh information. When there is a backslash in the body if the Separator field of the CONCAT action, Cloverleaf “helps” by adding another one to escape it out. However, both backslashes are entered in the mesage field as the separator.

For example: .br  is saved as \.br\  in the Xlate and is intermittently populated in the message as \.br\

The desired output as the separator is .br

Has anyone else experienced something like this? How was it solved?

We are running version 5.6 on Linux.

      Thank you

We recently just ran into the same issue.  We are running 5.8 on AIX.

Since I found this post first when searching for the issue, I thought that I’d post a link to the post that I believe that you were referencing.

            Hello Eric,

Yes, my problem was the same one from the first post a few years back. It seams that the engine wants to escape out the backslash escape character. I still have not other solution than to remove the extra backslash in the Xlate when present (and bounce the process).

            Thanks,

            Gordon
