      Clovertechies,

Working on my first connection of Cloverleaf (5.3 or 5.4.1) to a web service.  Does anyone have tips on how to get the XML Configurator to compile a Web Service Descriptor Language (WSDL) xml definition?  I tried the compile button in the GUI, but it went into an infinite loop.  (Well maybe not infinite, but I killed it after 40 hours.)  Any suggestions apprecitaed.

SOAP related issues have been discussed before.  You might want to search for the word “soap” on this dscussion board, and you’ll probably need to do some reasearch here:  http://www.google.com/

On the board, people have used Java, TCL, third party libraries, and/or custom tcl procs.  There isn’t a standard way to make SOAP requests and handle responses using the engine, as far as I know.  (Also, I don’t think you can comple a WSDL.  Once you figure out what your soap request should look like, including the wrapper and content, you could put it all together in a DTD or XMLSchema and compile that.)
