      I have a VRL description for data fields and when I try to load a file that has commas in the field I get errors from Cloverleaf.  The file is pipe-delimited.

      The layout for the string fields in the VRL is as follows:

      Name: icd9_1_desc

      Data Type: String

      Prefix:

      Postfix:

      Min Width: 1

      Max Width: -1

      SF Sep:

      Escape Pair:””

      Validate at FETCH is selected

      Field Type is Normal

      Can anyone suggest how I might be able to use commas, with enclosing the entire field in double quotes?

      Thank you

      P.S. When cloverleaf builds the XML code is looks something like the following, which cause a failure when trying to load the CCD:

      displayName=”"OFFICE/OUTPATIENT VISIT, EST"”>

          What are your global options for the VRL?
