      Hi,

Is there a simple way of getting the message throughput on Cloverleaf without having to add all the individual metrics together or similar? I just want a bottom line figure of messages/second though the engine for all processes/sites.

      Thanks

      Garry

          Garry,

It really depends on how precise you want to be and your Cloverleaf(R) architecture.

The more precise you want to be the more complicated the process.

If all you want is a ball park then you can use the .idx files of SMAT.

There is a time stamp on each record in the .idx file. Read the .idx files and accumulate them. Then analyze by messages per second.

You can also use msiutil. There are a few Tcl procs running around which extract data from the msi stats (I have one you can use if you are interested).

            Hi Jim,

            No SMAT:-)

I’d be interested in anything you could provide. I’m quite happy to adapt it if necessary (or even use it as is).

            Thanks

Jim, could you shoot me an email as well? We’re looking into doing something similiar.
