Cloverleaf HL7 for heart rate/temp data?

Hi Guys,

My boss has asked me if anyone has used Cloverleaf to interface live heart rate/ body temperature data from one vendor to another. Has any tried this out there?

I saw in the past that someone was trying to send an image of such data in an HL7 message, but I don’t recall how it turned out. Even still, this would be different than what I’m being asked in that an image would show data previously collected and not actual “real time” live data.

Any comments would be greatly welcome,

We are currently working on a project to interface Philips monitor data from our ICU monitors to our HIS (Quadramed’s Affinity).  The data comes across as ORU messages which we place into our results database.  The data is sent once a minute but that may be adjustable.  That’s about as ‘real time’ as we can get.  HTH!
