      Description

To give the Cloverleaf IDE more color, follow the instructions below:

      1. Download and unzip the clgui.color.jar from the link above

      2. On your local client, go to integratorclguilib and rename your current clgui.jar -> clgui.jar.org

      3. Put the downloaded file clgui.color.jar into integratorclguilib and rename to clgui.jar (no need to put on server)

      4. Restart your IDE

If you experience any kind of issues, please revert back to the original clgui.jar.

Works well.  For me I have struggled with the old subtle changes in shading so this helps quite a bit.  Great Job Alex.

Unfortunately, my company blocks access to that web site. Is there another way to get hold of that file? – Thanks!

I am unable to post the attachment to Clovertech (due to file size).

Downloaded and Installed the new 6.1.2 patch and it works flawlessly!  Thank you Farhan for once again coming through for WVU Medicine!!!  Colors are great and I hope Infor natively brings them back!!!

This is a decisive improvement over “stock”.  Second the vote to make it standard.

Loved the colors when I was 6.1.2 but since we installed the patch to version 6.1.2.1 it no longer works.

Is there any way to configure the color features in the new jar file, such as through a config.xml file?

I would suggest submitting a request through Infor Xtreme for enhancement requests.

I will work on the 6.1.2.1 patch when I have time.

We just updated to 6.1.2.4 and also lost the colors. I fixed the jar by opening it and an older colorized file in BeyondCompare, our file comparison utility. Then I browsed into the comhiecloverleafguiimages path in the jar and copied the image files from the colorized jar to the new jar. I was up an running in color in about 3 minutes.

The process to get this in places works just fine. I am using 6.1.2.1 though, so every time I launch the GUI I get a nag screen advising, to paraphrase, that the Cloverleaf version (6.1.2.1) does not match the GUI version (6.1.2.0).

It is certainly easier for my eyes to pick out color icons than grey-scale icons, so I hope INFOR adds color soonest, or at least adds color icons as an option natively.

Have you tried adding the color portions of 6.1.2.0 to the 6.1.2.1 JAR file? If you can get me the newer JAR, I will do it for you.

Thanks for the lightning fast response Mike! Appreciate the offer, but perhaps I can give it a shot before I go the route of sending you the 6.1.2.1 jar? Any advice and help greatly appreciated.

So, if I understand correctly, I

–> backup a copy of original Jar with something like clgui.orig.jar, then:

                                  1) Open up the current version 6.1.2.1 Jar file (clgui.jar) with non-color icons…

                                  2) Open up the older version 6.1.2.0 Jar file (clgui.color.jar) with color icons…

                                  3) Navigate into the comhiecloverleafguiimages path in both jar files…

                                  4) Copy the color version Jar image files (newer) into the non-color version Jar image files (older) directory

                                  5) Save the “current” Jar file with newer color icon images…

                                  6 Restart the GUI

Would WinZip be sufficient to copy (drag/drop) the image files across, or should I try something different like 7-Zip? Also, may I copy the entire contents from the “color” Jar to the “non-color” Jar, or do I need to select just certain files?

I updated my jar file from 6.1.2.1 with the images folder from the jar Farhan provided for 6.1.2.

                                        thank you so much!

Do you have a 6.2 colorful clgui you can share?

I haven’t tried it, but you can probably use the same images folder and update the 6.2 jar.  Make sure you make a backup copy first! 🙂
