Has anyone upgraded to the cloud and had any experience getting 3rd party libraries running? We’re being told things like the hl7 tcl package isn’t allowed in cloud and we’re wondering if anyone experienced this?
This statement would be a local rule someone is enforcing. We migrated to the azure cloud and have not had any issues using third party tools. We are not using anything that requires compiling but I know that would not be an issue. We are on redhat. Not sure what hl7 package you are using but if it is something you are already using I would push back hard on it.

Infor does not let you load 3rd party tools in their environment or shell scripting the way it was discussed with us. So, it’s not that it’s not allowed in the cloud, but not allowed in their instance of cloverleaf that they provide. So, we stuck with the on prem version for that reason when we moved to azure.

I agree. We looked at going to Infor’s Cloud version and on a meeting they stated no third-party, no nothing outside the engine (think IDE/GUI). I told them we had a lot of CRON jobs that do special things with moving files and Infor said, nope, not allowed to be done in the Infor Cloud. We also do a lot of stuff with our SMATDB data and they said, no command line access … period.
We are on-prem virtual machines but looking to move out our own AWS/Azure Cloud in the future.
