We are needing to apply the 5.7 patch 2 on our ‘test’ server.  I see that there is also code that updates the clients [in our case Windows PC’s running XP].  We have separate test and production servers.

If I apply the patch to the clients will that affect how the clients work with the pre patch2 server?  

I guess I’m asking if we need to have a dedicated ‘test’ client to run the patched code on.
