I have an issue and hope someone can point me in the right direction.

I loaded 6.0 server via a RedHat VM on my latop and loaded the client FAT on same desktop. I have connectivity with the server and cna bring up the IDE just fine. I ran a site init to create a location for one of our test sites and just copied over all relevant folders. I can see all the threads in the site, their configs and control them just fine.

The problem is that I have tried sending a sample message across a couple of different ways but 6.0 is not responding to it. I tried using a feeder thread from our current test site to the 6.0 site and again using the TCPIP test tool.

When I look in the watch log, I see the following everytime I try to send a message:

      [pdl :PDL :WARN/0:       conn_1:03/22/2013 12:08:44] match phrase basic-msg rejected

[pdl :PDL :ERR /0:       conn_1:03/22/2013 12:08:44] no-match: no more phrases to try

I have no idea what this means, other than Cloverleaf received something and is trying to match on something and couldn’t so it rejected the message.

          Mike,

That usually means the sending system is not using the proper mlp encapsulation for the message.

Are both the sending and receiving connections set up as mlp/pdl?

Also turn up the eo config an you will see a hex dump of the offending message(s). With that you can determine if the proper encapsulation is in place.

Well, glad it’s Friday. I had my thread setup as tcpip protocol instead of pdl-tcpip.

            Brain fart.

Problem solved. +10 points to you!
