Cloverleaf 5.8.7 Undocumented Features

Hi folks,

For some reason, my post in the ‘Documentation’ group was deleted.

There seems to be a lot of changes in 5.8.7 that don’t seem to have been documented anywhere?

For e.g. in Network Monitor, under Root Preferences, General tab, what’s “Restarting Delay” for?

etc etc…..

Is there a comprehensive doc somewhere?

David – some data was lost due to a hardware failure.  I’ve posted details in the Announcements section.

Regarding restart delay, this is in the 6.0 doc under “root options” – here’s what it says:

Quote:

The Restarting Delay is the time waiting period between stop and start when restarting MonitorD, Lock Manager, a process, or a thread. The field lets you customize the delay time.

If this is not in the 5.8 doc then this feature was backported from 6.0 to a 5.8 patch and should have been noted in the 5.8.x release notes.

Hi Rob,

“Restarting Delay” and other ‘enhancements’ (like removal of feature to have thread name within bitmap’) are not documented in the Release 7 notes.

6.0 doc is still not posted?

Still no news on 6.0 documentation?

Need to find out about the undocumented features introduced in 5.8.7 release.

Some customers like me don’t have the Infor account to download goodies.
