On behalf of the Lawson Product Management team, I am proud to announce the general availability (GA) on June 13, 2011 of the Cloverleaf Integration Services 5.8.4.0 release.
Could there be a creation of a new section in the release notes to handle those customer under HA that have the option that on a fail over from prod to test so that on the test side you can have the two version running, the version from live and the testing version of the upgrade. I do know that there is a descrition of how to have two versions running under another section but could you include unser the install of the new release for HA customers instructions for running the PROD version on the PROD box and on the TEST box be running the same verson as the PROD at the same time running the new released version.
I made a call to Lawson Cloverleaf support today 6/14/11 and was told that the patch is available on the old support FTP site. Details will be emailed to me later today. However, I was assured that this Revision will be migrated to the MyLawson website. Timeline unknown.
Suggest you call them and ask for the FTP login details.
Thanx for the update. One other question; do I have to load Rev1 thru 3 before loading 4 or does 4 contain all the others and therefore I only have to load Rev4? Thanx!
Bob is correct, the 5.8.4 patch includes fixes from 5.8.1 through 5.8.3. All patches follow this model unless otherwise explicitly stated.
I wanted to highlight some new features in this patch. Normally our patches consist of bug fixes; this one is a bit different in that we have included some new functionality as well.
Notable new features – most of these based on direct feedback from the community:
Ability to comment out / disable alerts
Restart (stop+start) command for process, thread, monitord, lockmanager
Allow specification of destination thread when resending inbound messages
Ability to start threads on hold
Ability to release specified # of messages on held thread
Support for “grep” filter in testing tool results
Find port dialog when configuring a server port in Network Configurator
Protocol status “timer” supported
Please review the release notes for a complete list of features & bug fixes.
It’s included. When you execute the patch on the windows box, it will ask if this is a client only install. It is defaulted to ‘N’ for no, just change this to ‘Y’ and press enter and it will install client update.
