Is the rev2 code from 5.4.1 inbedded in 5.6? We had to back out our rev2 code and until we get the problem resolved, we can’t upgrade. R&D was able to duplicate our problem. They gave the help desk a rather cryptic solution which made no sense to us. When we backed out, the problem went away. So it was clearly introduced by the new code.
In either case, we need to talk directly to R&D who worked on recreating the problem and came up with their solution instead of hearing it 2nd hand via the help desk. How do we go about doing that?
Will 5.6 have the ability to use SMAT on active threads? When this is in 5.X, do you have an algorithm for any additional space requirements to use this new feature? There was discussion about this at the user group meeting, but little information about space, overhead, etc. Thx
Release 5.6 allows the viewing of the active save files via SMAT. You should request a copy of the release notes so you can look at some of the other enhancements as well.
