Cloverleaf 5.3 to 5.4.1 Upgrade question

We are upgrading our test sites from V5.3 to V5.4.1. Our platform is on AIX 5.2. When we upgraded to QDX v5.1 and v5.3, we had to added the following variable into the /etc/environment file to keep from having problems:

AIXTHREAD_MNRATIO=1:1

export AIXTHREAD_MNRATIO

Do we still need to do the same thing under V5.4.1? This variable is not currently defined in the environment file under V5.4.1.
