I just installed 6.1 on my Dev box and tried to start the site helloworld after getting the license file.  I am getting an error when I try and start the Monitor Daemon.  Below you can see what I typed in and what was returned.  Anyone ever seen this before.  I am planning on calling support tomorrow but thought I would hit up the “group” out there.

      [helloworld]>hcisitectl -s m

      Starting DB dependency check…

      Starting hcimonitord

error getting CPU info: Invalid argument

      top: can’t get CPU totals

      : Invalid argument

      hcimonitord failed to execute properly

Lockmgr    is running on pid 45678834

      hcimonitord is NOT running

might be a problem with ‘top’ – that is a ‘system’ command that returns system resource info. We had a similar problem. Not all systems have top enabled or even installed, and there may be an access issue as well. Research ‘top’ and ask you system administrator if this is available and enabled.

You need to apply a patch to AIX 6.1 to get top to work. Check with Infor support to find out what patch you need for AIX.

Well the only two top commands on the entire system happens to be the ones in the CL packages.

[]>find . -name “top” | xargs ls -la

              -rwxrwxr-x    1 hci      staff         99365 Mar 22 2010  ./hci/cis5.8/integrator/bin/top

              -rwxrwxr-x    1 hci      staff         99090 Jun 09 2014  ./hci/cis6.1/integrator/bin/top

I will log a ticket and see what Support has to say.

              Thanks for the suggestion.

                Rob,

I encountered this issue as well.  You need to be running at least AIX6.1 TL8.  The top command that is provided by Cloverleaf is compiled for this version of AIX.

                Thanks.

                Steve
