Changing ADT^A31 to ADT^A08

How can I change the A31 message to A08 as the vendor only accepts A08 for updates.

Xlate:

Specify your inbound variant and select message/event type as ADT_A31.

Specify your outbound variant and select Message/event type as ADT_A08.

Use PATHCOPY and/or COPY and other Actions to get data from the IB to OB as normal.

Depending on which release of Cloverleaf, you may need to specify A08 as the event component in the MSH via a COPY.

If your vendor requires a PV1 segment for A08 and if you get an A31 that does not have a PV1 segment, setting PV1-1 has solved that problem for us.

Check to make sure your A31 has an account number, though.  A31’s are typically Person-Level updates, and often have no account number – only a person-level ID (such as an MRN or EMPI#).  

You’re going to need an account number for an A08 – just a heads up…

As other Have suggested PV1 and account number, How can I add that via the xlate, never done that before.  if anybody can suggest.
