Thanks for the link, Charlie.  Looks like the CDISC format is a standard for electronic data transfer of clinical trials and biopharmaceutical drug development.  

I am assuming that Cloverleaf does not have a CDISC configurator in the works?

What would be the recommended method for building a CDISC format in Cloverleaf?  Looks like any other format with field names, max length, data types, etc.

I haven’t looked at it that closely but what we usually do is normalize it via a Tcl script to another format like HL7, HRL, etc.

It is my understanding that the CDISC model is XML based.

If this is true, then there should be published schemas and I excpect one could simply use those schemas in Cloverleaf(R).

Could you send me a sample message when you get it (protecting Patient Confidentiality, etc. of course)?

I would be interested in seeing an actual CDISC message.

We use CDISC XML format, got a schema from somewhere, and it compiled fine in Cloverleaf…
