      Hi,

Ran into a little problem yesterday while trying to resend a couple of message through the interface. I mistakenly selected to send all “unselected” message instead of the ones that I added to my view in the SMAT. So i sent about 20,000 messages through the engine when I meant to send just 8 messages.

My question is “Is there anyway I called have stopped that resend?

      Thanks all

          Bashirat,

          One way:

If this is an outbound thread, put the thread on Hold (NetMonitor at the thred icon, right mouse button click, select full, then hold). Now the unsent messages are in the Recovery DB. Either from the DB Manager GUI or the command line find selection criteria that gets only the messages you want to retract, then erase thos messages from the Recovery DB.

If the resend was to an inbound thread then there is more work. Stop or put on hold all the outbound thread to which these messages are being routed or stop the process. Use the Recovery Db as above to remove the messages from the Recovery DB.

When dealing with the Recovery DB be very careful. If there are a lot of messages it could take a while to acgt on them (displaying or otherwise) DO NOT cancel – let it finish. Depending on your platform, this could take a while.

Also remember if this is production, there undoubtedly will be other messages in the Recovery DB you do not want to delete so make sure you have only the messages you want to delete.
