Do the get/set HL7 Field/Segment tcl procs come with the install of QDX?  I only have the ‘set’ procs.  Can anyone provide the ‘get’ procs?  Thanks.

          Hi,

There is a Tcl script called genericHL7.tcl that contains these procedures. I don’t know where it came from. If its not breaking copyright I can email it to you if required.

          Regards

            Gary,

            It comes distributed with Cloverleaf(R).

However one should be aware there are no assurances from Quovadx these scripts will continue to function in the same manner or at all with future releases.

              Jim,

If I didn’t get these, how do I obtain them?

                Jonathon,

I am pretty sure you have them as part of the install.

I do not use them but I think they are in a $HCIROOT subdirectory. They might be in a tcllib directory.

Any one else know where they are typically located?

These procs are *NOT* part of the install.  There is no way we would puposely put out procs this bad as part of Cloverleaf.

If you want to use these procs, have at it.  But, don’t complain about throughput.  Everytime you call one of them you will be looping through all of your segments.

There are much more ergonomic methods!!

Come to the UG and I’ll show you some.

                    Hi Charlie,

That’s all very well for those of you who live in the States but for those of us who live in other parts of the world and whose companies aren’t willing to spend money on trips to user conferences etc your reply doesn’t really help.

Can you provide some clues as to the type of thing’s we might do?

                    Regards

                    Garry

                        Hi Charlie,

                        I assume you mean ‘loop’.

I was just thinking…. If everybody added their 2 cents worth and put it in a jar. hopefully the total collected will allow me to attend the user conference:-)

                        Regards

                          Sorry about the spelling  🙁

Also sorry you can’t attend the UG.  A *LOT* of valuable informaton to be had for a small price.  Compared to the cost of training courses, it is a tremendous deal.  Also you get to network with other users.
