any similar hardware configurations?

We are looking at getting some new hardware.  The configuration is an IBM P550, 24GM memory, 4 CPUs with a DS4700 SAN that had 1.5TB of disk space and has optic fiber channels.

I would be interested if anyone has anything similar to that and what your message load is.

I would be interested to know how many messages and what type of messages you are expecting with that setup?

We are running a DL580G4 4/3.4GB processers and 4GB Memory and only 70GB of Space half of which is set aside for OS.

We only have

12 ADT outbounds 6 of which also accept orders

one ADT inbound from the HIS

2 result Inbounds LAB and MRTrans and 5 Results Outbounds

We see about 120,000 to 145,000 messages and month and the server doesn’t even know we are there,  I would imagine that you are expecting a few more messages with a setup of that size?
