ALERTS : Stop and Start a thread with a VPN problem

I’m new to Cloverleaf.  I have a thread that goes out over a VPN tunnel and occationally we don’t get an ACK back, so the thread stays in UP status but won’t send the next message.  It has been recommended to use an Alert to check queue depth and stop and restart the thread if it reaches a certain queue depth.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have found a resend alert to be more proactive than a queue depth alert for the situation you described.
