Alerts fire but the action doesn’t run

I’m having a problem with alerts that show as fired in the log but the action doesn’t seem to have run. This is a problem with actions that are exec and actions that are email. These are basically the only alert actions we use.

Here is an example of the log entry from this morning and the thread should have restarted but it didn’t.

: Alert: 011113_in | 011113_in_receive

: Message: Thread last inbound message received time of 011113_in is more than or equal to 600, currently {011113_in 600}

: Notification #: 0

: Action: /usr/local/scripts/restarthcicmd 011113_HackUM 011113_in gfs

Running it from a command line works fine.

I would try bouncing the monitor daemon first.

Are there any useful error messages in $HCISITEDIR/exec/hcimonitord/: alerts.log or hcimonitord.err hcimonitord.log?
