Alert for file not changed?

Does anyone have a tip on how to set up an alert to trigger when a file has not changed for some length of time? If I configure the alert as type “File Change”, Comparing != true, Duration N min 15, hcimonitorD balks with a message that says “Comparison not valid for file changes.” (Running on AIX 5.3 no revs.)

  Unfortunately, No. The work around is a cron job, but I really wanted to do this inside the engine.
