Advanced Security – Rob Abbott/Rey Currie

Hoping that Rob Abbott or Rey Currie are reading this post.

I’m in need of additional information on Advanced Security for a certification project that I’m working on.  I specifically some level of detail on how it works.  What is uses to handle connectivity and how access is granted, etc.  I already have a high-level understanding, but not enough detail for the questions I’m being asked.

I haven’t been successful in getting information from my previous contacts at Lawson.   Please let me know if this is something that you can help me with.

I was reading this post and it prompts the question about our site and having Mckesson for support. What can we do if support is unable to provide documentation?

According to tech support, the only documentation that is available is on the install media or within the ‘help’ contents of the GUI.  Basically, you have all of the documentation that you can get.

What about just answering questions? We have been asking if there is any reason why we should not install mySQL client on our test and live servers?
