Our tech techservices/hardware folks want to set up and active-active config for our production environment when we upgrade fr CL-5.3rev3 to CL-5.5rev1.  I assume we set up some of our productin sites on one box and the remaining sites on the other box?  The IP transfer should be fun!

That sounds like a silly reason to have to rework your configs.

In my previous job we ran active active.

We had orders and ADT running prod on one node and Results, Billing, batch stuff on the second node.  Both nodes running as production.

We had a third box running test to test OS updates and patches as well as development stuff.

If you are running Prod on one and test on the other it becomes much less complex.  The service address for your production should fall over with your file system containing you production data.

I guess saying active – active can mean many things. So do you mean both nodes running part of production system or one test one production?
