      All,

I’ve been looking at the documentation and searching this forum, but I have yet to find an answer to my problem.

I prepare client software for automated delivery to workstations across a large health care network (we use Novell ZENWorks, but the procedure should be pretty much the same regardless of the Change Management system employed).  Cloverleaf uses an InstallShield Java wrapper around a number of separate classic InstallShield installers to deliver its components to the target workstation; unfortunately, while the classic installers should have a standard switch set for completely automated installation (-s -f1 -f2 -SMS), the Java wrapper does not.

Or rather, it doesn’t have one that I can detect.  So…

What is the supported method for mass-delivering the Client feature set to multiple Windows workstations by automated means?

(And don’t tell me there isn’t one – you can’t honestly tell me that the software is meant to be delivered by SneakerNet across a large enterprise with operational sites scattered across three Time Zones…)

We have two programmers that need the software.

There is no need for mass delivery.

            Just my two cents.

              Hi,

How many people use Cloverleaf in your organisation and would require the client installing. As a reseller most of our users have one or two people using Cloverleaf so an auto install would not be required.

So essentially my response is the same as Michaels. But I think you need to ask yourself the question as to how many people will want/need the client.

              Regards

              Garry

If running Quovadx on a Unix/Aix platform you can use xterm and software deployment solved.  The software is on the server and you manage one place.  If you have a windows server then you load the client on a beefy workstation and use remote desktop.  VNC will also work but you get screen bluring and jagies from the gui elements according to your network speed.  Don’t forget to load your java time zone patches on the workstation and server.

                😆
